Periods Are Metal AF: A Night for Period Y’all is coming August 22nd, bringing together Kentucky bands, community, and support for ending period poverty across the state. This is more than a show. It’s a night built on music, mutual aid, and showing up for each other.
Bands include: DEADY, Bussy Queen Power Trip, Slut Pill, and The Sharp Stars.
Every ticket sold helps get free period products directly into the hands of people who need them across Kentucky through Period Y’all’s community programs.
We’ll also have live painting of Period Y’all Pantries by local artists, a mural artist creating live throughout the night, and limited edition merch you won’t want to miss. Artists include: Tiffany Ackerman, Kayla Green, McKenna Newman and Beige Price.
Whether you’re coming for the music, the art, the mission, or all three, this is your invitation to be part of something powerful. Mark your calendars, tell your friends, and get ready to pull up for a night that proves periods is metal AF.

Louisville KY's Deady is an ever shifting hybrid of post-punk, hardcore ang noise rock with just a hint of damaged pop melodies to hold it all together.
Bussy Kween Power Trip is a punk power trio with three baddies hitting heavy on vocals, bass, & drums, no guitars allowed. With lyrics ranging from absurd to sinister, skull-cracking drums, and bass that hits like a sledgehammer, BKPT is a Black queer punk band meant to escape expectations by drowning them out.

Tiffany Ackerman is a Louisville, Kentucky–based visual artist, stained-glass maker, curator, and educator. Working across stained glass, painting, and mixed media, her practice explores color, light, and the relationships between craftsmanship and storytelling. In addition to her studio work, Ackerman has been an active advocate for the arts community, curating exhibitions and supporting artists through her leadership within Louisville's contemporary arts and glassmaking scene.
I’m Kayla Morgan-Green , An African American female artist from the west end of Louisville, Kentucky. I’ve been creating Art since I was 9 years old. Currently my medium is acrylic paint,oil pastel, 3d objects on stretched canvas. I use painting as a tool to express all the beautiful aspects of a black life, including tragedy, love, fashion and history. I hope more light should be shown on these subjects to help grow and guide our youth. I’m Currently the Event Coordinator ,partner of Who Don’t Love Art And It’s been a beautiful Experience creating Art(over 4,000paintings sold,donated or given away ) with my husband (Ci’Vaughn Green )I hope my art makes a little girl pick up a brush,a mom to find her passion again and a black people to keep creating .
Hi Yall! My name is McKenna Newman and I am a mixed media artist based in Lancaster, KY. My favorite topics to explore are nature, anatomical studies, and oddities. Sometimes I like to add playful characteristics, or give the creatures I’m studying a morphing twist! Whether that be illustrations of two headed animals, framed taxidermy of bugs I naturally source or portraits of beautiful beings I admire. At its core, my work is to help educate and connect viewers to all different types of beauty in this world.
Beige Price is a visual artist based in Louisville, Kentucky. Growing up in the woodlands of Fisherville, Kentucky, she developed a lifelong fascination with the natural world through exploration, observation, and play. This connection to nature continues to influence her work, which explores conservation, biodiversity, and the relationship between people and the environments they inhabit.
A recent graduate of The Kentucky College of Art and Design, Price is driven by the belief that public art can transform both places and perspectives. Her humanity-driven practice focuses on creating murals that foster curiosity, strengthen community, and encourage people to engage more deeply with one another and the world around them.
